Short penang trip

Mom was here a day before i even arrive from Moscow.
She welcomed me with a wide big smile.
I am so happy to see her.
I grinned and asked her 'Lets go somewhere and get away from Singapore!'

This crazy idea was nodded with a yes.
I just booked the flight ticket 5hrs ago.
Thanks to Airasia.
Now everyone can fly. Ho ho ho...
Here i am in Penang.
Enjoying all the nice food from this lovely small town.
I managed to pay a visit to a doctor just to check mommy is doing great with her health.
Thank God! Truly its by God's protection and grace, she is all healthy.

And when it comes to celebrate, there's always this thing called "FOOD."
Here's a sneak peak!!!

The waitress said they Re all gonna be small portion.
But turned out gigantic, and best part, mom pretty much resembles me, after few mins of gobbling nd swallowing, she said its all mine.
Ooo la la... I went out from the restaurant with a 3 month pregnant tummy.

Gosh! Cant trust her!!!

Anyway we went to try some local food that i forgot to snap some pics.
But my fav is always all time Penang char koay teow.

And the lastminutequeen.com just purchased the ticket like 3 hrs ago.

Budapest

I arrived in Budapest on the 31st of march.
It was a magnificent city.
More and beyond what i could think of.
I love buda and pest. Budapest rockzzzz!!!
We stay in the Marriott courtyard apartment by the river.
Its a huge apartment for 4 person.
We have 2 bedrooms, each room for each couple.
A nice spacious living hall and open space kitchen.
Before i forgot, another sofa bed. This property is good for 6 :)
It's a superb place, nice location, spacious, clean, and it just made our day.
Literally walking distance to market hall, shopping street and chain bridge.
Nice, nice, nice!!!

Budapest is really a city that i would love to come back again next time in the future.
But really is not that cheap and i feel insecure all the times.
Well... I am indonesian and neither it is safe in there.
It's not really a big deal then.

Just to show you some nice shots of budapest!
From the apartment that we stayed, the chain bridge, the parliament building, the france Joseph church, the market hall and the shopping street.

Thanks to them, i feel so loved.

And yeah.... I am right here right now in the city of dream. P.R.A.G.U.E.
The 4 of us arrived in frankfurt and flew to vienna.
Arrived safely and landed comfortably in Marriott vienna.
Its a lovely, romantic, nice and magical city.
I love vienna.
And we arrived at the right time where easter weekend is celebrated joyously by most europeans, therefore easter market is decorating the city beautifully.

I love the wiener snitchzel most! Aha!!! And i love the cakes super much <3
Love love love!!!!
Its a city of music and city of love.

Love is in the air and i am welcoming april with a giant hug and a big opened eyes of joy!

Moments....

I was looking for the perfect moment to describe how happy I am right now.

I was looking back and found double happiness when I went to Bandung just recently on 21st-24th Feb.

Things didn't turn out the way I wanted it; you know me...

Aircraft rosak; engine problem has always been haunting me all this times.
Was supposed to go bandung from KL; got diverted to jakarta; thought of missing cargo bag; and finally someone mistook mine.
Woww...... It was all full of stories to tell my grandchildren how unlucky I am.
But It was all worth it.

When I found Erwin waiting for me outside of the gate of Cengkareng Airport; my heart felt at ease finally...
He drove all the way from Bandung to Jakarta just to fetch me back to Bandung and to ensure my safety.
Aww.....Thats so sweet of him.
I wanna marry guy like that!!! Unfortunately we are meant to be sibling-hood relationship as compared to those boy-girl.

He brought me to dine in at the small street food hut; selling manado's grilled meat.
The restaurant's owner is his best friend.
LOVELY, YUMMY, JUICY and FANTABULOUS!!!!!! STRAIGHT A'S or FULL 100% MARK for the taste!!!!
Totally suit my taste bud!!!!!!!!

If you're wondering where it is and eager to try; follow this address below.
IKAN BAKAR "TSB" JALAN APRON RAYA BUNDERAN KEMAYORAN JAKARTA
TELP: 0812-8255341 OR 0816-1192163

You could look for MICHAEL; the owner of that wonderful restaurant!!!!
Ahhh....Can't wait to go back!!!

We tour around jakarta for a while before heading back to BANDUNG.
Time flies...I can't believe I was in Bandung after a good 10 years!
This place has engraved plenty of sweet memories;)
I hope you know what I mean...

Down Town Manhattan Elite

I KNOW YOU LOVE ME, XOXO...
I am pretty sure you remember those words clearly from GOSSIP GIRL.
HEre I am stuck in DownTown Manhattan...Looking up was a clear sky; surrounded by big tall buildings; I felt so small.
Yellow cabbies are everywhere; reminded me of DEVIL WEARS PRADA.
Everyone was busy; looking good, professional yet fashionable in their office or casual attires.
This is NEW YORK CITY!

I got up at 2am after a great 8 hours sleep from 6pm; and I couldn't get myself back to sleep til 4am; I got another 2 hours extra stay in slumberland.
When I finally woke up and knew that I have to wake up; I told myself it's gonna be a good good day!
Indeed it is....

I went to BLOOMS CAFE for brekkie with 11 other friends.
It was a big group that we had to split into two and sit separately.
I used to order SLUMBER JACK which contains griddle cakes, ham, sausages and two fresh eggs; not forgotten tea and orange juice.

But today I seem to be craving for something else.
So I ordered the corn beef hash with THREE sunny side ups and toast and for my 'greediness', I ordered another bagel with cream cheese.

I know you might think that I sound crazy to have been able to finish it all; but yes! I did it again...
You should be wondering where are all the food gone coz I don't look that BIG to represent those yummy stuffs that has been killed and chewed til the last bite~

Well...after the breakfast; I thought of just jalan jalan exploring my most fav place for all time; the great great 5th avenue and perhaps stoping by times square.

But hey! yeaaa....the bunch of people keep asking me to follow them to jersey garden...
And finally I said yes after rejected zillion times!

I hate jersey garden; such a small factory outlet mall that I could not get anything great!
I guess company that matters!!! That's what the forcing slogan for the day! *grinn*
I brought the bunch of people to go to enterprise car rental located in 48th street between 5th and the 6th avenue to get a mini van to be able to contain the 8 of us to go to jersey garden!
I tried to drag them all to WOODSBURY COMMON; but unfortunately everyone objected it.
Some said its far; some said they would declare bankruptcy if they were to go there.
Eventually there we are....on the way to JERSEY GARDEN.
I was so hyper active due to over dose of caffeine I consumed this morning; I kept talking non-stop and laughing non-stop.
Do I sound like a mad cow? *silly laugh*

After a good 3 hours exploring the mall; I spend USD 200 in NIKE; got my NEW GYM SHOES and GYM ATTIRES.
I bought several stuffs from forever 21 too and some clothing from Windsor; to complete my shopping; BEBE is a must stop destination and I got a nice top that costs me USD 35.
Well...I have to admit that my spending habit has been reduced much after the last november.
I bought what I need now; instead of what I want!!!

I am gonna sign up gym membership right after I got back from this trip; therefore I need those gym stuffs.
I got it cheap here!!! so realli very bery satisfied.
My gang member bought numerous stuffs too; dresses from BCBG, "HOT STUFFS" from VICTORIA SECRET, Abercrombie and bla bla bla bla.... the list goes on and on....
Anyway I got back hotel at 6pm and I am not hungry so I guess I am not gonna have any dinner for tonight!

I am going to sleep like a baby for the next 12 hours!
And tomorrow is gonna be another great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spada..... Gut Nite!

I know you love me, XOXO!

SHORT TRIP TO BANGKOK

If you have like 2 or 3 days stay in bangkok; these are the things I recommend you could do...

If u'd like to stay in a nice hotel you should look for PRATUNAM PRINCESS HOTEL; but if u want to splurge a lil bit more on dining and shopping; you prefer to stay for a reasonable, clean yet convenient hotel; please consider ASIA HOTEL.

If your stay falls on the weekends; please don't miss the chance to go to cha tu cak market.
Its a weekend market selling all kind of stuffs; from street food, snacks, clothing, accessories, souvenirs and literally everything.... haha >.<
Its gonna be crowded, hot and stuffy; so please wear casual wear that allows you to moves freely.
its few minutes walking distance from 'MO CHIT STATION' if you use skytrain.
The published opening hours for the market are from 9.00am to 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday, though many of the stalls actually open sometime between 9.00am and 10.00am and close around sunset.
Chatuchak is also open on Friday as a market for wholesalers, but there is no problem doing normal shopping on this day either (same opening times).
BARGAINING is expected; if not mandatory.

If you prefer to do last minute or any evening shopping; consider going to SUAN LUM NIGHT BAZAAR.
How to get there: Take the MRT subway to Lumpini station; the market is near Lumpini Park, a short walk from the station.
Items at market: Creative gifts, trendy home items, clothing/jewellery boutique shops by local designers, packaged dried fruits, a few stalls selling the usual market CD's/clothing.
Open: 18:00 - 00:00 (every day).

You must try the dinner buffet at the Baiyoke Hotel, cheap n good spread n see city view n can go up observation level free cos U had dinner.

Enjoy nice before/after dinner at Sirocco sky bar atThe Dome at State Tower or known as LEBUA STATE TOWER(MUST GO!!!)
By CAB maybe about 20-25 mins from city centre.
Its at 64th floor ; correct me if I am wrong; dress well to go there.
The place is exclusively for classy people; they have open sky bar and also fine dining restaurant.
REALLY A GREAT PLACE TO HANG OUT WITH GREAT COMPANION.

Very special way to eat is called 'Bed Supper Club' at 26 sukhumit soi 11( like jetson cartoon)..

The basement foodcourt at Siam Paragon is very good too(ie. the japanese one cheap n good)
Shopping at SIAM PARAGON is great too but XXX.
You can shop at Siam Square area cheap n good can bargain too, also MBK n buy bra =D at Isetan at New world shopping (all closeby to one another).

My Pyramid Experience on 31st October 2009

Hi Guys...
Sorry for the late post (again....urghhh...)

I am gonna share with you about my 2nd pyramid visit on 31st Oct 2009.

This isn't my first time to cairo; I was there like almost 2 years back...
And Thank God that I got the chance to go there again in this year.

I was contemplating to go to pyramid for the 2nd time when i was in Cairo at that moment.
You know the feeling of been that; done that; is killing me.
I guess the excitement is no longer there when you went to the same wonderful place for the second time.

But anyway I thought of not missing a chance to see my magnificent pyramid; I went with a bunch of trusted folkz (hohoho....)

Finally....made up my mind!!!

Pyramid was still as magnificent as the very first time I saw it.

I was captivated one more time by the brilliant tall historical monument called "pyramid."

Well...This time I took a horse instead of camel.
Two years back when i was in Cairo; I chose the camel coz I haven't tried riding on a camel before.
And to tell you the truth; for every animal, there'll be a kid pulling them up to make sure the animals do good:)

And I today story is not entirely about the pyramid alone.
I wish to tell everyone about the kids in pyramid.
Those kids ages between 10-15 years are paid to pull the animals from the entrance of the pyramid til the end of the sightsee.
It takes about 3-4 hours minimum to view entire pyramid; not including going inside the pyramid.

The boy who carried my horse is called "mohammed."
He smiled sincerely when he saw me.

In my heart, I felt sorry coz he has to pull my horse for the good 4 hours under the great great sunlight (it was about 27 degree) at that day. FYI...Its almost the end of summer in cairo...They will have winter in december.
Could you imagine if they have to walk under 40 degree celcius?! Oh no...I feel really bad.

Mohammed was very nice to me; and every of my friends was like asking why I got the nicest boy among all..
My reply was of course I deserved it. I am a nice person; am I not ? hahahha....
He spoke simple English learnt from the tourists.

I asked if he is still studying and he said yes; he told me he could read and write.
I feel happy for him; at least he will have basic education to help him in the future.
End of the journey; I gave him more money secretly; I did it so carefully not to let the other friends know because they could snatch it away from him. (that's what my tour leader told me)

Alright guys...below is the info of the standard pricing to go pyramid.

Entrance: 40 Egyptian Pounds per pax.
Tour Guide(pyramid): 20 Egyptian Pounds per visitor. eg,you have 10 people in a group;everyone gotta give 20 to the one and only tour leader.
Horse (1 person) or Camel (2 person): 40 egyptian pounds per pax.
Every kids: 20 Egyptian Pounds per kid. (don't give more coz the tour leader will snatch away the money from them if they are given more than 20 Egyptian Pounds).
Miscellaneous: Going inside the pyramid(hidden pyramid;undercover money) additional 30 Egyptian Pounds.

Hope it help guys...Enjoy!!!
Til next time...

What did I do yesterday???

I had a really good sleep...woke up feeling happy and fresh.
Its now 8 am in London.

Buddha says "What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday ; and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow; Our life is the creation of our mind."

So please let me have the honor to share my life about yesterday :D

I woke up at 8 am; felt amazing after a long good rest; hope to ease my jet lag.
I went online and found a few people to talk and to catch up for an hour.
Then I watched my remaining discs of the korean drama that I've been watching lately.

In the meantime, I tried to approach my company for the change of schedule.
I tried so hard to live up my long live vacation to TOKYO next month.
Til finally got my approval, I went for shower and get myself ready to go out.

My plan today is to linger around the city; enjoying the wonderful autumn and the best feeling of being in London again.

"When a man is tired of London; he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford." Dr Samuel Johnson 1709-1784.
I guess that describes my gratitude towards London. hahaa......

Well... I stay in High Street Kensington; just outside of the hotel you could find a brilliant breakfast bar called "the muffin man."
Here is the address 12 WRIGHTS LANE, KENSINGTON, LONDON.

Then I went to shepherd's bush underground station from high street kensington.
It took about 15 minutes...I've not been to the westfield shopping mall before.
Why don't give it a go?! its located in shepherd's bush station; you just have to turn left when you go out from the station and you could see a big westfield.
They've got everything from prada, gucci and louis vuitton to fred perry, all saints, disney collection and mango.
In addition to, they have house of fraser and debenhams; not forgetting the basic necessity for human; waitrose is there waiting;)

I had a good 5 hours browsing through and window shop in westfield.
I got a nice dress from warehouse and fred perry.
I had fun...
Before time's up...I got a lil tired and I saw krispy creme in the corner of fraser house.
And then I got my two glazed with hot choco; sat there for 15 mins and made a move to marble arch.

What is in mind when it comes to marble arch?!!
Of course its PRIMARK and SELFRIDGES :)
I spent an hour in primark; getting one nice top and blazer for myself and also boxers for my gals and nightie for my sis.
I spent a hundred british pounds....sob sob...

I parked myself in selfridges for half an hour just to orientate myself to some brands i love the most!
Anyway I didnt get anything but feeling hopeless wanting to get the small pouch from louis... >.<

I went to the hotel and threw in all my shopping of the day and went out to mark and spencer.
Lil did I know they've closed :(
So I went further to Whole Food Market.
It was such a new experience for me coz I've not been there.
Whole Food offers you wide variety of organic food.
They've got salad bar, rice and plenty choices of dishes,cheese.....
Needless to say...they got everything human need ;)

I spent an hour...looking around and kept myself amazed at how great this place is :)
I went back and got myself ready to sleep :)

Good Nite LONDON...
